Prof. B. Velkeniers

Brigitte Velkeniers is Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Medicine at the Free University of Brussels and former Head of Department of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the UZ Brussel. She studied medicine in Brussels and obtained the degree of physician in 1980 and the accreditation of Internist in 1985. She obtained an Aggregate of Higher Education in 1992 from the Faculty of Medicine of the VUB. Her research activity focused on the pathogenesis of pituitary tumors and the relationship between thyroid dysfunction and fertility. She was coordinating internship master for Truncus Communis training in Internal Medicine and for special competence in Endocrinology. Brigitte Velkeniers is past president of the Royal Academy of Medicine (2019-2022) , president of the Federal Planning Commission and president of the Belgian Endocrine Society .​​​​​​​​​​​

Prof. E. De Waele

Professor Elisabeth De Waele received her medical degree with great distinction from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2004. She subsequently completed postgraduate training in general surgery in 2010 and became a certified Intensive Care Physician in 2012.​​​​​​​​​​​

The domains of expertise comprise nutrition in critical care setting, metabolism and nutrition of ICU and cardiac surgery patients and nutrition in oncology.
Professor De Waele acts as a promotor and co-promotor for several doctorandi, and as a clinical tutor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel for medical students, pharmacists and dieticians in formation. She has published more than sixty articles in peer-reviewed journals, including 6 as first author.

Prof. C. Rowland Payne

 

Dr Rowland Payne is consultant dermatologist to The London Clinic. He trained in London at St Bartholomew’s, St Thomas’s & Westminster Hospitals and in Edinburgh at the Royal Infirmary

​He is currently in full time private clinical practice and is also Professor of Dermatology at the Ludes Lugano University Campus of Malta & Professor of Academic Cosmetic Dermatology at the Universita Roma-Marconi

Dr Liliana Sytnyk

 

Dr Liliana Sytnyk is a consultant dermatologist and dermatological surgeon in Ukraine, where she qualified in medicine in 1999. Dr Liliana is also a member of the European Academy of DermatoVenereology’s Cosmetic Dermatology Task Force and the European Consensus Group on Thread Lifting.

She practices the full range of aesthetic interventions from thread lifting, fillers and botulinum to regular aesthetic non-interventional treatments to improve skin quality.

JEAN-PIERRE-HACHEM

Prof. Dr J-P Hachem

 

Prof. Jean-Pierre Hachem is a former Doctor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and former Head of Clinic at the Universitaire Ziekenhuis Brussel, obtained his medical degree from the Université Catholique de Louvain and his dermatology title from the Universitaire Ziekenhuis Brussel. Registered with the Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrisch, he has been practicing dermatology in Esch Sur Alzette, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, since January 2009. Training at the University of California San Francisco enabled him to complete his doctoral thesis in 2005, followed by the creation of a laboratory for fundamental research in dermatology.

Prof. J. Gutermuth

 

Jan Gutermuth is head of the dermatology department and coordinator of the center for inflammatory diseases of the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel/ Vrije Universiteit Brussel. With a scientific background in allergology & immunology he trained in healthcare management Harvard Business School and applies a structured approach to healthcare delivery. He recently founded the research group “Healthcare Research in Dermatology” and is involved in organizing the UZ Brussel leadership academy.

Dr. S. Baharlou

 

Doctor Samira Baharlou obtained her Medical Degree at the Medical School Chant & Humboldt University Berlin. Germany and specialized afterwards in dermatology, venerology and tumor therapy.
Dr. Baharlou is head of clinic at the university hospital in Brussels and consultant at the hospital Sint-Maria Halle.
She is a founding member of "Belgian Laser Group in 2016 and secretary and active member of the Belgian Euromelanoma Group since 2019.
She is a member of the Belgian and French Society of Dermatology, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology as well as the French and European Laser Society.
Her clinical focus is on laser therapy, esthet dermatology, dermatological surgery and dermato-oncology.
